In recent events, following the murder of Michael Brown, a piece of my peace has been crumbled. Michael Brown, an unarmed, 18 year old college student was scheduled to begin his freshman year at Vatterott College. Unfortunately, he didn't make it to his first day of classes. On August 9th, 2014 Michael was gunned down in the streets of Ferguson Missouri by police officer Darren Wilson. His body left to lay there in the blistering heat for for hours. Wilson, shot his gun at Michael a dozen of times, hitting Brown six times, two in the head. With little to no regard for the human value of Michael Brown the law enforcement officer took the precious, unwritten, young life of a 18 year old teenage boy as if his life had little to no value.
This happened.
It's been heavily publicized through every single device of mass media, since. The recorded gunshots, multiple stories false accusations, subconscious racism, pictures, endless footage, and a transparent glimpse into the hate fueling around the country right now.
Even though this event is repetition of the past.Oh, and damn, the present too, it's strongly promoted ruffling feathers and creating uneasy discussion for people that are unaware of subconscious racism, and more--- causing humans to form bias opinions...
Following Michael Brown’s death I attended a PEACE rally in DC-- one of many held around the world in honor of his life and the constant fight for human-life. The rally was similar to the 1955 modern civil rights movement, which was inspired by the brutal killing of Emmett Till. I recently retained my elementary school black history lessons from my memory, due to current events. The PEACE rally for the most part was a positive exercise of freedom of speech and vibrated a high frequency of HOPE, POSITIVISM AND PEACE. My soul felt so full witnessing so many people unfamiliar with one-another's personal life experiences, coming together for the same benefit because human emotion is what brings us together when it is needed most. We just don't all see the signs...
The last time I can recall feeling that type of way was shortly after September 11th. I was only 10 at the time and I can recall experiencing fear, compassion and sympathy all at once like the majority of the people directly and indirectly affected by that tragic day. The media displayed those events as [terror] attacks. For a good year following the attacks it seemed as if American Citizens came together. I remember American pride being as strong as ever around that time. Everyone and their momma had an American flag bumper sticker plastered on the car or an American flag waving in their yard. I had a sticker on my binder. Love and Unity grew from the pain we experienced as a whole on that day, temporarily destroying the outside factors that separate us.
I can recall an event that happened even more recently on December 14, 2012. The Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting referred to as a Shooting Spree in the Media. The pain that was felt around the entire world was much the same. It could have been the single man without children living on the streets or the parents of a first grader living in their first family home. The lost was universal. The pain was universal. It’s similar to the despair Sabrina Fulton, mother of Trayvon Martin feels; Lesley McSpadden, the mother of Michael Brown is just beginning to feel, and Veronique Haller Pozner mother of six year old Noah Pozner who was a victim in the Sandy Hook shooting spree. The pain that is felt by parents here in America that have lost a child is identical to the heartbreaking, agonizing, grief that parents in Gaza are suffering from at this very moment, while I have the luxury to be lounging on my couch, typing this.
When you put things in to perspective and begin to observe the realities of the world you start to notice plenty of pain but no gain.
The terms ‘racism’ and ‘police brutality’ have been emerging as major reasons surrounding the murder of Michael Brown. The terms ‘Terror Attack’, ‘War’ and ‘Shooting Sprees’ are common headlines involving the death of a human being. From Ferguson to Gaza referring these headlines are the direct representation of the steadily increasing disregard for human life.
I’m unfamiliar with exactly what’s taking place in Gaza due to my lack of awareness. I'm not a fan of the news, I try to maintain my zen as much as I can. I’ve gathered information through conversations, that just like Racism and Police Brutality being the main reason behind recent events here in America, that ‘WAR’ is weak excuse for what’s taking place.
There is a serious lack of compassion in this world and entirely too large of an amount of hate influenced by Racism, War, Power (over territory), or whatever headline the news decides to label such events. I’ve began to see it as something bigger than all those things.
It’s a hate thing.
The police officer that murdered Michael Brown is a product of hate. The product of hate is the sum of multiples in society. The death of Michael Brown is similar to many of the murders that take place in this country, this continent, and this world. War, racism, and terror are multiple excuses in society for hate to continue to quietly spread like cancer against mankind because the real problem is never ever discussed or referenced in the way that it needs to be.
I can’t stress enough how important is to understand one-self in order to better understand others. I REALLY can’t stress how absolutely necessary it is for everyone to practice acts of kindness and love each other. We have to separate our hearts and minds from multiples of hate in order to gain from the lessons life is trying to teach us.
Live your life without preconceived notions of your neighbor, a stranger passing by or someone close or distant. Accept that your feelings are one in the same to the person you feel animosity towards. If Darren Wilson had not allowed HATE to control his actions Michael Brown would still be walking this earth. Darren Wilson’s built up anger, preconceived notions, negative thoughts and mental ignorance made him a product of hate.
The only thing that will swallow hate up entirely is love. I'm not on any hippy-style either. I'm speaking from experience. When you show more love and understanding, others do the same thing.
Radiate more good and less bad.

We’ve got to start somewhere.
Racism is distinctive
and without a doubt one of the strongest devices fueled by Hate. Racism is a
verb and is practiced by negatively holding on to the past and suffering from
mental ignorance. It can be done by a black, white, yellow, or green
person. It creates rifts among people of the same and different race.
It’s been an on-going problem in this country for hundreds and hundreds of
years because of the numerous racially-influenced hate crimes that have
previously and currently are still taking place around this country every
single day. These events
specifically deserve to be remembered as face value of what human beings have had to, and will continue to, endure
living in this country as long as Hate continues to play such a major role in
society. Our strength, perseverance, resilience and power to be GREAT as a race
alone are traits that are deserving of honor and praise. However, because of
forced circumstances we suffer from a rift among each other, causing a majority
of us to be unfamiliar with our potential, greatness and power to changer a
nation.
There’s so much that I
need to share with the world.
The topics I discuss on
my blog are all sensitive topics that I will positively promote to heal the
world during my lifetime or die trying to. I want to educate and spread love as
much as I can for as long as I can. Those of you that have spread love my way,
I value you. Those of you that have taken the time to tell me you like my blog,
and have encouraged me to keep doing what I’m doing, Those of you that hit the
‘like’ or ‘retweet’ button on social networks to a link of my blog, I deeply
appreciate you. I am sincerely thankful for every single person that takes the
time to read this thing. Your words of encouragement will never go unnoticed. I have people tellin’ me I inspire them, but they’re the ones that inspire me to speak my
truth. I'm a working progress and sometimes have a hard time finding my
voice, and I apologize for the gap in between post. I always come back though,
and that’s a direct result of you showing love and because of that I am
forever thankful. We are all in this life together-- showing love, spreading
love, getting through it together.
Together we are going to
accomplish so much within this lifetime.
